Nigerians were almost inconsolable when Kolade Johnson was brutally killed recently by Inspector Ogunyemi Olalekan at Onipetesi, Mangoro area of Lagos State, another person, a lady, Adaobi Ojide Ifeanyi, has again been killed by a team of six policemen attached to Trinity division at Wilmer area of Ajegunle.
It was reported that Adaobi and her boyfriend Emmanuel Akomafuwa were returning from a nightclub in the early hours of Saturday when they ran into a team of policemen.
It was gathered that the duo ran into a problem when the boyfriend driver, did not immediately stop when flagged down by the policemen, who gave them a chase.
When they were eventually caught, the policemen reportedly shot at the vehicle and the young man, Akomafuwa was hit in the head.
On seeing that her boyfriend, Akomafuwa, had been shot at, Adaobi protested, the policemen’s reaction was to shoot point blank.

Meanwhile the boyfriend is still receiving treatment in the hospital injury he sustained on his head.
Divisional Police Officer, Trinity Division and the Commissioner of Police had reportedly paid a condolence visit to Adaobi’s father.
The five police officers involved in the shooting of Adaobi and Emmanuel Akomafuwa.were arrest by Lagos State Police Command, while the sixth officer, Inspector Dania Ojo, who escaped has been declared wanted.
The arrested five officers are: Inspector Adamu Usman, Sergeant Adeyeye Adeoye, Sergeant Kashim Tijani, Sergeant Lucky Akigbe and Sergeant Paul Adeoye.
Confirming their arrest, DSP Bala Elkana, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, said the Commissioner of Police has vowed that the perpetrators must be punished.
He said: “Members of the team suspected to be involved in the shooting are from Trinity Police Station and are currently facing internal disciplinary proceedings at the Command Headquarters Ikeja. Their rifles have been retrieved for forensic analysis by ballisticians.
“The Commissioner of Police extends the command’s deepest condolences to the family and friends of Adaobi Ifeanyi and promised to foot the medical bill of Emmanuel Akomafuwa. The CP calls for calm as the command will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that justice prevails.”
